Licensed Realtors and Brokers-Not a Telemarketing Co.
Those of us in this business, who are licensed Realtors, Agents and Brokers,
love it and want to protect the integrity! Recently, there are a lot of
complaints and lawsuits that have been filed in several states, the most of
which seem to be in Florida. As reported in Timesharing Today, a guest
editorial from the May/June 2010 issue, addressed the ARDA Timeshare
Resale Model Act. "This act is designed to bring about new laws to deal with
the scams and corruption in the timeshare resale business."

This article goes on to say that these "new laws will not matter to the con
artists of our business. That's why they are con artists." Those of us who
are licensed Realtors and Brokers are already governed by our state laws
and real estate commissions. We are trying very hard to actually advertise,
negotiate, and find Buyers so that our clients, who put their trust in us, can
get a sale.

There are currently over 17 different companies under investigation by the
Florida Attorney General for potentially deceptive business practices.
Hopefully, this will put a stop to those who call owners saying that they have
a Buyer or Renter already for their property, or that they will "guarantee" a
sale within 90 days. If you get a call that you are not sure about, please
contact us. Some are very legitimate, but beware of those who are not.
Make sure that you are working with licensed Realtors, not a telemarketer!
